Short Term Modification Program

Short Term Modification Program

The program allows students with emotional and behavioural problems to study in our School for a temporary period. Through our School’s comprehensive counselling and flexible courses, it aims to improve their behavioural problems, and subsequently help them return to their original schools and continue their studies.

Service Target

The program is suitable for those mainstream students studying Primary 3 to Secondary 3 who usually violate school rules/disrupt the classroom order and show no signs of improvement after their schools’ consultation; or those who come across difficulties to get along with the others in daily life as well as adapt to their original school life.

  • Students can maintain their registration with their ordinary schools during the program period.
  • Available for application at any time throughout the academic year
  • Provide a short course for Primary 3 to Secondary 3 students, for a period of 3-12 months
  • Devise individual learning as well as emotional and physical development plans for students
  • Provide personal and social education development courses, incorporating the concept of self-worth plus communication and problem-solving skills
  • Provide in-depth counselling for students by responsible staff and social workers on a case-by-case basis
  • Provide professional counselling and support by in-school educational psychologist
  • Small class teaching with better student-teacher ratio than ordinary schools, allowing more appropriate learning support for students
